Cooling Advice for my SB Setup

Thread Starter
Hey guys so i recently built a new computer the specs are:

NZXT Phantom ATX Full Tower Case
NZXT Sleeved LED Kit - 200cm Length - Blue
Zalman CNPS10X Quiet CPU Cooler
Intel Core i7 2600K (4.6ghz)
SilverStone 850W ST85F-P Strider
Corsair Vengeance 8GB(2x 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3
Corsair Force Series 60GB 2.5' SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 Motherboard
ASUS GTX 580 DirectCU II
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Heres a picture

At the moment i have the heatsink, stock NZXT phantom fans, and 1x Scythe SlipStream 120mm 1900RPM Fan at the Bottom Front of the case as an intake, - Im wondering if i should get anymore air cooling? there is room for another 200mm fan at the top of the case.

Also for the purpose of showing u guys i removed both sides of the case, however i always usually game with the both sides on.

Any advice to improve my system would be great
Regrds,

Ben

Drop your HD down a couple racks so it can get proper airflow, not that its going to overheat but just lets it utilize whats there.

besides another fan up top or maybe something to help with your 580, PCI-Exhaust fan, RAM cooler.

If it would make you feel better, go for it. A 200mm fan is super quiet. That being said, I really don't think it's needed at all. A single gtx580 isn't THAT hot, and you already have pretty good cooling. I'm assuming your temps are fine, play some games and keep a temp monitoring program open for your CPU and GPU, unless your GPU is hitting 100c or your CPU is hitting 75 in games, you're just fine.

I think you need more heat... add another 580!
In general cases have pretty damn good airflow these days enough so adding more fans for intake/exhaust for single GPU isn't going to change anything.

Also do HDs overheat often? if i just keep it where it is

1) i would use real temp if i were you, just know it doesn't support and processors before the core series if you decide to test it on an old machine. here is a link:
http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

2) it is really unlikely for your HDD to overheat, but why not just move it down so you can get the 1 or 2 degree difference and to be safe? I'm amusing you are like most of us and like to try and get a 1 degree difference from higher CFM fans

CPU and GPU... I'm drawing a blank lmao x.x.. I generally only look at one at a time, mostly the GPU and only benching senario's the CPU.

GPU-Z, MSI Afterburner, for the GPU.

Realtemp, Coretemp, for the CPU, can't comment on a good combined one though.

And no HD's do not overheat often, so it is more or less fine where it is, just figured given the circumstance I'd drop it down a few to get full airflow, which would lower it 2-5C, either way not going to overheat, if you had 2-3 stacked then you start dealing with heat.
