These cards need watercooling or triple slot coolers for overclocking.

You should get one card. Quad-scaling tends to be poor for CF/SLI.

Really disappointed with the note on the cards shutting down due to overheating, I am hoping AMD will be quick to address that. Microstutter and FPS dips are expected with out-of-box drivers so lets hope that gets worked on as well. The overheat issue must be fixed now however.
