By "Wi-Fi internet", I assume you mean using the DS as a handheld web browser. If so, you would need the . I have one, and it's more of a novelty, than anything else.

Pages are slow to load, and the browser itself is very primitive. Anything made after the DS Lite has a built in browser (not needing an additional cartridge or ram upgrade cart); but, even still, Wikipedia (mobile) is just about all that it is good for.

Hmm...
looks like I'll pass on it.

I bought Pokemon White Version after all.

Pretty fun so far.

And I also did convince my friend to buy it, so he bought the Black Version DS Combo.

I know I am super late on the DS bus, but I bought one today for $80.
A crimson red DS Lite.

Just so I can play the Pokemon games.

So the DS is at the end of it's life span right?

I feel like I made a dumb purchase
You got the best one. I purposely got my DS Lite after the DSi came out. the DSi and newer DS systems don't have the GBA slot, which was a must for me. The DS Lite having that GBA slot means you can enjoy the huge library of awesome GBA games
