Overclock laptop (Sony Vaio EA3S1E)

Thread Starter
Hi, is there any way to do this, or is it just a bad idéa to overclock laptops?

I am thinking of bying more memory. To maximum 8gb instead of the current 4gb. The main reason for this is to improve speed.

I bought it yesterday and have uninstalled all crapy vaio-stuff. I want to have a fast computer to be able to work in photoshop, play som games and multitask.

Will 8gb be a big improvement or is there any way to do a safe overclock to higher the performance?

After this thread was written I realized that I have posted in the wrong forum part. So sorry for ths, maybe some moderator can move the thread.

Welcome!
And to answer your question I shall ask you a question:
Do you want your laptop to be more of a fire hazard than it already is?

thanks for the kind response here!
As I did imagine it was a bad idéa to overclock.

Im going to see if I can buy me a ssd-disc instead of buying higher memory.
But they are so expensive and so small space on them. So all the other data must be stored on an external harddrive.

Anyway, I am a 26 year old guy from Sweden. Have had computer all my life, starting with the comondore 64. I like playing around with computers and make them better and better in performance. But have no really skills in overclocking etc =)

Welcome to OCN! The best place to ask this is in the overclocking section where you might just get some more replies
