I mainly use the pc for surfing and videos. multimedia I guess would be the word to use for most of my use. although upgrading would allow me to use my pc for other things. the more the better cause I love my pc and being on it.

Dude I bought a 120gb first gen OCZ Agility drive and I can tell you this. I can boot up windows click on my account and after I click on my account maybe a second at worst 2 seconds later I can click open firefox and im on the web. I just scanned my hard drive looked for some screen capturing software restarted and wrote this from the last time i posted.

Edit: I will restart and post when Im back up.

Done Im back up

This just kind of proves for raw productivity you will see an immense improvement with a ssd as your hardrive is the component that your system wastes the most time waiting for. Just saying that if gaming performance is adequate for your needs upgrading other stuff can wait.

Raw power:

honestly, i dont know much about the veloc. i never wanted to spend the money on them to find out. they were the fastest hdd when they came out. as you can see by my sig rig, i hate to spend money. as far as a new case, it can wait. it does nothing but hold your junk and if done/made right, help everything stay cool.
buy the guts and then find a nice case. you can get nice cases cheap used. actually you can buy everything used right here on the for sale threads.
if you shop newegg and research the sht out of everything first, you can buy some great parts at good prices.

do you think you might want 2 grafix cards down the road ?
i can throw a list together real quick

Ok yes ignoring my ssd suggestion though the next best thing is a psu upgrade/gfx card. Your cpu/ram isnt really lacking imo. Feel free to disagree if your experience differs as it is your computer.

wow! that ssd sure is fast! how much does it cost for just a basic one and not top of the line? you've got me thinking now. as for the two gpu idea, I highly doubt that I'll be playing anything that needs two cards but can't rule it out some day.

all the power supply you'll need for the next 5 years ?

grfx cards, i have my ideas but your 2.6 cpu is going to limit you anyway.
