I still can't look at this game and not think FFOW, it sounds great on paper, even has some good gameplay videos, but yet something about it seems off.

What seems off, every time i see it, i see a true sequel to battlefield 2 more or less. advanced chopper controls, large maps, lots of vehicles. squad based gameplay. comma rose.

i also see a game that is much more polished than FFOW, homefront has been in development sinc before ffow was released. While FFOW was released way to earlier, they were given plenty of time on this game.

I am still looking forward to this game, don't get me wrong. What looks off is it looks like a re-release of FFOW. I mean, same combat style, same types of drones just with different looks. Not to mention it looks to be on the exact same engine as FFOW with maybe some updates for newer DX features.

I played FFOW for the first time in years a couple weeks ago, game hadn't changed, no updates since around a month after the game was released. All I know is that people should be cautious buying games from them, it's entirely possible they will stop supporting it shortly after release like they did with FFOW.

I hope I'm wrong, I want a good game to play and I want this studio to succeed, but that doesn't mean I'm going to jump on the preorder because of some edited console gameplay videos.

Edit: Not to mention, the only true sequel to BF2 is BF3, not some crossbreed of multiple titles.

are you sure about that. because FFOW was updated several times after launch, with the last one added more maps, vehicles, and a weapon.

No doubt the game was released in a late beta stage, but not alot they can do about that if the publisher says launch. They supported the game well, and this game has been given a much longer development time.

I have no doubt this game will be great. That doesnt mean it will, but FFOW was fantastic yet flawed game, and this will be an improvement in every way.

Until we see the finished product, it's all just speculation.

FFOW is a different story, people can defend it all they want but the truth is the game flopped big time, to date it remains an unfinished product.

if you can honestly say that this doesnt look solid, you should stop gaming.

large complex environments, solid gunplay. Graphics are xbox version, and are decent, but pc has much better with dx11 also.

Its gonna be great.

There is no auto aim knife like cod and bad company, it requires you to be right on top of them with your crosshairs on them also. we are talking oh look im so close the are taking up the entire screen range. You can take a perk that extends it a couple feet, but it still requires you to get very close, and still have to aim also. Very glad its come back.
