(Dell.com) New Dell Ultrasharp U3011 30" 2560x1600 Monitor for $1125 + free shipping

You can get 25% off this monitor:

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...=baynoteSearch

with this coupon:

$5HNJCKS5KR?VC

I just got one last week for $1200 after hours on the phone talking the price down (hopefully I can get credited the difference) and I think it is a great buy.

Edited just to point out how much I hate Dell customer service. Nothing bad about the monitor.

Nice. I think I've seen it go for a little cheaper, but that's still a great deal on a damn fine monitor.

OT: How do you manage your U3011 with an 8600 GTS?

Yeah. How do you guys get around this without the actual info for a "Small Business". I'm really tempted to buy this.

Just use your real name

example:
Name: John Doe
Company Name: John Doe

They don't care. Plenty of people running businesses under their own name.

At some point this will be 30% off again. However, this is a good buy. If I did not just buy the U2311h I would have bought this. Now the only question in the future is do I go dual or triple U2311h or do I get a single U3011? Currently I have the U2311h hooked up with my current monitor and regular daily activity has not required two monitors. However, when I get back into graphic design as well as starting to construct websites it may be helpful.

I'm sure it's a nice monitor, but I still don't see its place in the world. I mean, for me, it's too big to use as a monitor, but it's too small to use as a tv. I could see several uses in a business environment, but I can't imagine sitting far enough away from this to compensate for its size.

IMHO: one massive 30" > three 23" eyefinity setup
With the 30" you don't have bezel splits interfering with really high res images and projects. You also gain 520 vertical pixels in landscape mode. Fewer interconnects, more deskspace, king of monitors bragging rights.
