Wow at the amount of PC elitists in this thread.

The DX9 engine behind Crysis 2 is the best looking engine on the market. All DX11 games don't even compete.

Still no patch directly through Steam -__-.

Ha, don't make me laugh. Bad Company 2 / Medal of Honor's graphics are waaaay better-looking than Crysis 2's upscaled DX9 graphics.

I disagree, from my BC2 experience, I would say they are on par with Crysis 2 especially when you consider the latter is DX9 atm. Will probably look a lot better when we get SP and DX11

That's just not true mate.

Crysis 2 looks better than both BFBC2 and MoH, which are not even real DX11 titles btw, the only DX11 feature they have = soft shadows, that's it.

Crysis 2 on Hardcore looks pretty sweet, it's not the jump most people were expecting, but it does look awesome.

Metro is a graphics flagship, imo.

I'm sorry, but Crysis 2 being released in DX. 9 (which, at this point, is 99% sure to happen), especially after all of that BS Crytek fed us (the PC community) during the game's development, is totally unacceptable to me--even if it is the "best looking" DX. 9 engine on the market. These days, that amounts to about nothing. Thanks for everything Crytek, and nice try at damage control. "Press start" to "Press enter"? Are you kidding me?

Glad to see though that Crytek's inevitable and predictable fail has gotten my favorite developer listening, and intent on not making the same mistakes. I'm looking at you, DICE. Showing the WSAD cluster in that gameplay trailer was the smartest move I've seen in a long time.

I don't know why Crytek called this a "Demo" when it's clearly a "Beta"....

Rage much

A la Dragon Age 2, this is likely to get a huge DX11 patch on launch day. I don't think Crytek lied about DX11 support, I just think it was late and couldn't make it into the DVD. The real question is if it will look any better after the patch...

I will be a little disappointed if the graphics can't top the original when everything is maxed out.
