few problems with new gpu

Thread Starter
hi guys, i didnt realy know where to put this thread but since its kinda connected to GPU and stuff i put it here.

So, yesterday i removed my old 8600GT and some random Gambit 350W psu, and instaled new MSI gtx460 hawk, and Corsair cx500 psu, everything seems to be working perfectly, i can play games like bfbc2 on high and ****, but :

1) nvidia.com and e.g www.systemrequirementslab.com cant scan my system anymore? they just keep scaning and scaning, seems like nvidia doesnt recognise my new card? and im using mozila so im sure its not browser problem. P.S when i downloaded MSI afterburner it says that i have N460 GTX hawk.

2) ultra low PC temp( i guess pc ) i have this little monitor on my case it shows temperature, and when i had 8600gt and that 350w psu, my temps was
IDLE: 55-60~
Playing games: 60-65~

and now, IDLE: 20-23, Playing games on high: 23-26. Did i forgot to connect something? cuz it was my first time changing PSU and GPU.

Firstly the temp is probably caused by a missing cable to the gpu or mobo for reading the temp and secondly did you install the drivers for the new gpu from disk or from the internet

I have just found out that one of the main features of the gtx460 hawk is an
Incredibly effective cooling system

this could be all there is to the temp issue

if you put your hand in the case around the gpu is it warm?
if so the gpu cooling is working as almost all heat from the card is pushed into the case

Somethig's wrong with your thermal probe. It's impossible that that hot card (that by design blows its hot air around the inside of your case) lowered internal temps 40C. LOL think about it. 20C is 68F, how cold is your room?
