Yea it will handle 1 gtx 560. Just do not go wild on overclocks and do not run furmark/occt too much.

Cx500w hasn't been tested, it's unknown how good or bad it is.

The cx500w is definitely not trash, it's just not as good as other Corsair psus, judging by the cx430 it's between good and very good.

Going off of corsair's past unit it'll be fine. the cx430 has proven to be good, and i can't see the cx500 falling short either, and the safety protections will work too. Phaedrus started the whole the new CX line is garbage and he's since taken that stance back but others keep spouting it thoguh.
Kasp it's really hard to say how good or bad the cx500 is going by phaedrus's earlier presumptions it'd be a bad unit, the cx430 has proven that he's wrong, I don't doubt that the cx500 does it's rated wattage safely but i won't call it special.

It's not special but still i'm 100% sure that it's enough for a single gtx460(even the cx430 is).

I'm not saying it's not enough wattage, I'm just saying it's not much more then an average psu with working protections, also the cx430 should have been called the cx380

Your 550 meets the requirements i guess.
But if you are onto sli, I suggest you at least 850watts

Please you can check google for requirements
