You dont really know anything about AMD's financial status.

On Topic, I remember April being the beginning of the AMD Revolution.
If AMD has to take that extra 60 days, Good! maybe it means that much more Quality. Wouldn't want to screw up a chipset now would we?
*cough Intel cough*
AMD is a publicly traded company, anybody can see their financial reports.
Im looking at them right now, and Im also looking at Intels.
AMD is nowhere near Intel as far as net income. Not only that, AMD actually posted losses in the 2nd quarter on 2010.
Theyre not going under or anything, but last year they were not doing well compared to previous years.

Hopefully this new line will be a turn around for them.
Might be a good time to buy AMD stock if youre confident in Bulldozers commercial success.

Brings me back to my commentary about how Q2 '11 means 4/11 to 6/11 and not 4/11 I'll be interested to see how they turn out, but my money is earmarked for SB this time around.

Well, if all goes well and i get a job, i can ditch this 775 rig and get me a bulldozer based rig, and a better GPU to boot.

Also fans. Lots of good fans.

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for bulldozer, but now I'm not going to wait until June. I also believe that if it was going to beat even sandy bridge that we would have seen some type of benchmarks by now. I think AMD is trying to see how much more they can squeeze out of bulldozer and that is why it's going to take 3 more months. I mean can I get a benchmark or something? If I could see a few benches I may decide to wait, but the fact they haven't given us anything but speculation worries me and makes SB look quite appealing right now. I could handle a messed up sata port if it meant we could have bulldozer now, but guess I'll go back to Intel for now.

I don't think I can wait. I think I have to get an I5... Ironically, most of my forum nick names are AMDPhenomX4...

AFAIK, Intel never released any benchmarks of Sandy Bridge ~3 months before launch either, so why do you expect AMD to?.

/rant.
The Sandy Bridge 2600K is a brilliant chip at just over $300 and that is coming from Intel. If BD gives approx. the same performance as Sandy (for the sake of argument... let's say 5% slower clock for clock with higher stock clocks to compensate) then there is no reason for AMD to price it any higher than the 2600k. Plus, it is supposed to be no more expensive to manufacturer than Thurban. Maybe the 8 core will command a small premium, but as the 2600K is also 8 threads, I don't think it will be much.

Don't expect the return of the $1000 FX processor unless BD beats Sandy by 15% clock for clock or something crazy.
