You didn't read the whole post. I had this on quotes.

3b is usually a graphic's driver (display adapter/video driver), other possibilities include but are not
limited to antivirus/antispyware/security programs and even memory (mapping).

This is going to suck, I've dealt with it in the past and it sucks, unless you get lucky.
It could literally be almost every hardware component in your machine. So heres what you have to do:

Start with the video card, swap it out of his machine and put yours in his machine, see if it BSOD's.

If it does (bsod) leave your video card in and move on to the ram swap yours into his machine if it's compatible. (also running memtest+86) to test the ram is always a good idea do it while his ram is in your machine. (read the readme before you run memtest.)

If it's still BSOD'ing Try new power sup, then hdd's. This is how I would troubleshoot the issue. Don't swap his hardware into your machine. Swap yours into his. If this all fails it could be one of the bus's on the mobo or CPU, and at any rate if you have to replace either of these you might as well make it an upgrade. Good luck and God speed. Let me know how it goes.

Pros: Fail proof way of finding out what's wrong.

Cons: Trouble shooting like this can be expensive if you don't have to machines that are compatible with each other. You could always find a place that has a nice 30day return policy for part swaping and testing, though very unethical.

Telling you, soak mobo in rubbing alcohol and add fire. Fire kills everything including BSOD.

good advice bro..Ive done gpu, memory, power supply, from his pc into mine.
his memory had problems. Got new memory, the only thing i havent done is put my gpu in his pc. But his gpu works fine in mine, so its not that. So the only things left are Mobo, or cpu....
Also, it now only bsods when playing games. watching movies, browsing the net, nothing else is causing the bsod. I get in to MOH it renders everything and bsod's.
Its gonna suck if its mobo or cpu, any way of checking which it could be??
