Had this dream about these speakers that were built into ajustable speaker stands

Thread Starter
So this dream I had. I was at Walmart and was in the electronics section. There were these speaker stands that were pretty bulky, about 6" inches across but the bookshelf speakers were built into the top portion of the stands and they could be raised and lowered. It looked like a big tower speaker but it wasn't. The speaker terminals were on the bottom because the speaker wires were fed through the hallow part of the speaker stands.
Don't ask me how it worked it it seemed pretty amazing.

pretty nice idea. only problem i see is the wood for the bottom base would stop the top being lowered at a point, ie the back side of the speaker would hit the top part of the bottom stand.

Speaker built onto stands is bad IMO. You can't adjust to what you want them to be at. For example, you want to put them on your table, that won't work.

I think these are one of the best speaker stands(within its price range). http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=240-762

20lbs of support
Width adjustment to fit your bookshelf speakers
Height adjustment
Speaker wire run inside the pole so it looks neat
