Im getting a used tpq locally...missing some cables (pcie/sata)

will [ame="http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-PP05-Short-Cable-PSU/dp/B0025VKUN4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1299611287&sr=8-1-spell"]THIS[/ame] be compatible?

Antecs website has them for $5 each cable

edit :
>I tried the silverstone cables (spares I have) and they dont fit
>I will be getting the cables from the antec store which are priced shipped ($40 worth)
>I placed a wanted AD just in case someone had a blown psu and didnt need the cables
>I got the PSU for $20 and so far it works when I jumpd it

^^^they both have the 6pin(pcie) to psu connector (vs 8pin) so Im guessing its universal...not to forget to mention akasa units also are in the same platform..confirmation would be cool beans

that looks like a tpq-1200 (b&w for the 1k watt version) which is somewhat different accdng to the antec website...cables between those 2 models vary (just an fyi) > the 1200 uses the 8pin for its pcie/sata cables (although I think that it has some cables to accomodate the 6 pin > thanks for the pics!)

will THIS be compatible?

They won't work.

Also, the Antec & Silverstone units are not based on the same platform.

I guess Ill have to wait on Antecs call back for some cables if Im lucky theyll ship them free...either way I have some spare silverston cables I can test tonight

>I guess they are just made by the same MFG

Even though the power supply is manufactured by the same company that builds the Akasa and Silverstone units, we see slight differences in the internal design. The heatsinks have a different shape, which is necessary given the different cooling setup that uses one 80mm fan. The heatsink is now thick and large, designed to work with the pull of the fan instead of the push method seen in other PSUs where the air blows at the heatsinks from below. The main capacitor is made by Hitachi, which is also a little better. It's not very often today that a company provides partial cable management and still uses an 80mm fan. The problem is the jacks at the back of the unit, which obviously block airflow. Antec manages to keep the jacks as low as possible so there is enough air coming through the front vents for good cooling. We will wait to pass judgment on noise levels, however.

They are both made by Enhance, but the platform is different between the two.
