Word to that. This card is the top of the top right now, which is always the absolute worst bang for the buck. Not to mention it was released TODAY? That means vendors are looking to gouge the crap out of all the people with too much change in their pockets who want the BEST and they want it NOW.
Prices will likely drop as crazed people with too much money satiate their lust for better stuff. That said it's still not that bad really. Benchmarks show it getting 60% more frames than a GTX 580 in 2056 metro 2033, and at launch its price tag is 40% more? That seems like a pretty reasonable meal deal to me.

Um also if you have the money for this card, you would DFINATLY get 6970 x 2
clock speeds (faster on 6970 CF)
6970's blow hot air out of the back of your case, this does NOT. so you would need to turn the fron fan intake in to an exhaust to get rid of the hot air...
+ anyone who has this sort of money to spend on GFX will nodoubt have a CF mobo.
Lots of people don't like dual card solutions. That's like saying everyone who spent on a 480 would obviously have spent on a 460 SLI solution, since they were shown to be faster, cheaper and more efficient. Except you still saw tons of people with 480s. Hell why would anyone get a 570? They're way more expensive than dual 460s.
Although you have a point about the heat, that's something a lot of people won't like.Edited by ocpokey - 3/8/11 at 1:26pm
