Consider spending on a quad for not much more:

i was thinking of getting quad core also since i only need to add 20$ but the mobo that you picked doesnt have on board gpu.

how about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.614549

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138283
ASUS board

Those boards plus some heatsinks ought to be fine, or atleast better then your MSI board, and the same price. Though neither of them are boards i would feel comfortable overclocking a x4 on heavily.

Those MSI boards are fairly notorious now for blowing up apparently.
is biostar asus also? actually those 2 board were my fiorst choice

Biostar and ASUS are not the same. The boards LuckySe7ens suggested would be fine for running the Athlon II x4 at stock or very moderate OC only (with cooling!) if you really do so wish, due to the 3+1 VRM.

actually i picked this combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.614549

the mobo that you picked with the combo doesnt have on board gpu..

is there a really big difference between quad core and triple core performance since this pc will be use for browsing net or something.. 30$ is the difference between these two

Ah, forgot you needed that. Good luck with this build anyways. As I said though, stay moderate with the OC!
(Too bad x4 640s don't overclock that far anyway)

You'll be fine on that then
I run an Athlon II x4 on a Biostar 3+1 mobo at stock & with stock cooler, has been going by pretty well so far and even survived in a place where ambient temps are regularly 35C+ (The Philippines)

If I remembered how to say "You're welcome" in Filipino, I would
How is the Filipino community down there in LA? I actually have family friends down there and I've been there, and you guys are pretty prosperous. I remember when my dad was driving and got lost... next thing we know we're in West Covina or what was it and are surrounded by Filipino stores!
