Noctua NH-U12P fanless?? - Page 2

I can run my megahalems with a 120mm fan running at 600 rpm with my 920 oc'd to 4.0 (no ht) and get load temps in 55-60 while gaming.

you'd be better off with a fan running at 500 rpms.

Hi again! Finally arrived! I had ordered the HR-01 Plus, but Performance PCs send me a HR-01. Never buy something there :/

Does your invoice match the $45 price and the description with "Plus" in it? If so, you should complain. The Plus has 50% more heatpipes.

Do yourself a favor and put those fans on, it will help with temps.

Yes, it says "Plus" on the invoice. But I think I would have to send back this one to Performance PCs. I live in Venezuela (that's the reason it took so long to arrive) and I think is not worth it send it back. shame.

Maybe they'll credit you back a few bucks? At least do a review on Resellerratings.com. Companies can't fix what they don't know is broken.

As Zap said; it'd be best to let them know and see if their Customer Service can take care of you.

Sometimes errors like that happen with stocking.

I already have a passive video card: The Sapphire 5670 ultimate. Now I need a cpu cooler...
I have an AMD Phenom II x4 955. I will NOT overclock it. I do not want something too heavy, so I got my eyes on the Noctua NH-U12P. It has a fin spacing of 2.63 mm, so I guess the air will not have trouble passing through.
ij7PXE.jpg
What do you guys think?? Will the Noctua NH-U12P work in fanless mode?
Greetings!

Sorry to bump an old thread but the Noctua NH-U12P works very well without a fan in my FT03.
