Standard SB costs?

Thread Starter
So it's been a long long time since I've considered intel, because let's face it, I'm cheap. But the pricing vs. performance of the new sandybridge line is really tempting. And since I just recently murdered my AMD mobo by OCing, I thought it might be time to look to the other side.

So, I'm thinking about picking up a microcenter 2500k for $180, but all this mobo nonsense is giving me pause. First because there's none in stock and the ones that are in stock are sort of iffy? After having literally murdered a mobo for the first time in my life (wasn't my fault, more or less), I'm a bit wary about quality now.

So what can I expect to pay for a decent SB motherboard? I currently have 1 GPU but I might go dual-GPU in the future, I'd like at least 6 SATA (I have 2 external ports on my case, and I will be running an SSD + raid soon w/ DVD). I don't care about SATA-3 but I wouldn't say no to it. I don't care overmuch about USB 3.0 but again I wouldn't say no to it. I'd like to push the CPU as far as it's little brains can handle, then maybe pull back a bit for every day use.

Recommendations on where to be scoping out for boards in addition to the board itself is also happy making. I know newegg will have to replace a ton of B2 boards, so if I do pick up the CPU I'd like to be able to pick up a board sometime soon.

EDIT: If a budget helps, as I said I'm cheap so the cheaper the better, but like $150 or $160 would make for a nice upper tier, but I'm just getting a feel for prices so feel free to wow me one way or the other (+- 25%)

Whoops prolly shoulda put this in mobos. Is there any way to move it?

For that price range, I'd recommend the ASRock P67 Extreme4; great bang for your buck board. As for where to find these, I'm not entirely sure- haven't been keeping up with SB issues.
