Help me push my 2500k!

post #1 of 18
Thread Starter
Hey guys, I've been running my 2500k at 4.4 like cake but want to see how far I can take the chip safely. I can boot in at 4.5 but 4.6 and above won't go past the bios screen, or even allow entrance to bios.

4.4ghz = 1.340V
4.5ghz = 1.356V

Load Line Calibration - Enabled
C1E - Disabled
EISE - Diabled
C3/6 - Disabled
Thermal Monitor -Disabled

Have tried manually bumping voltage as well, it doesn't like that much lol

Suggestions? Aiming for 5.0 but will stop whereever thermals/stability indicates

I had to set voltage to 1.44 in bios with LLC enabled on my gigabyte board to hit 4.8GHz with a load voltage of 1.344. Temps were < 70C for me during prime.

I took it to 1.55V w/LLC in bios (1.44V load) to bench at 5.1GHz. Temps were < 80C.

best bios ..official 1204,1305
try this;
clear cmos 30sec
load defaults
this is for manual setting

AI Overclock Tuner = Manual
BCLK/PEG Freq = 100
Turbo Ratio = per Core 50
Internal PLL overvoltage = Enabled
Load Line Calibration =Ultra High
VRM Frequency = Manual
VRM Fixed Freq Mode = 350
Phase Control = Extreme
Duty Control = Extreme
CPU Current Capability = 100%

CPU Voltage = Manual Mode-start with 1.48V,once you get it stable,you can start lowering
VCCSA = Auto
VCCIO = Auto
CPU PLL =Auto
all other default ,start with RAM @stock,once you establish your OC ,bring your ram up to speed

I dont have a PLL overvolt option. It was in earlier BIOS's but not in this latest one I got on there now.

No PLL overvolt option on my board, there is LLC though. Similar?

Hmm will give that a try here momentarily. Board hasn't liked manual voltage settings thus far but maybe I', just not giving it enough

Asus bios =/= gigabyte so thats really not helpful in any way shape or form lol. (not trying to be rude, it just doesn't apply when i have few of those settings)
