The WEI uses "weak" ways to test your computer. Its not looking for "OMG MAX PERFORMANCE" numbers, its looking for a comparable number so that people buying computers can get somewhat of a idea of how good the computer is in certain things, so that they can compare them. When people build crazy good computers, like multi-GPU, RAID-0 SSDs and whatever else, the benchmark is not made to accurately benchmark these things, its made to give a rough estimate. This is why we say it is trash. It does not give realistic or usable numbers whatsoever.

REAL benchmarks test things that actually stress them to the max, to see what the limits are. WEI does not.

REAL benchmarks use a variety of tests to check performance. WEI does not.

REAL benchmarks are useful. WEI is not.

And most likely the reason why your SSD RAID is not scoring good in WEI is that your stripe size might not be optimal for a high WEI score. Depending on if WEI uses large or small files to test, and depending on if your stripes are set small medium or large, this can affect it in a huge way.

The above is the same reason why my HDD RAID-0 showed 4.6 in WEI. i had larger stripes than normal because i worked with VMs and large .ISOs so my performance was higher with larger files, not smaller ones.

That a better answer?
Much better answer ty

Got to be kidding. Takes that long to install the files off the disk. Then the butt loads of updates and stuff.

Winsat(WEI) is not a useless benchmark and as far as the HDD test goes is pretty good.
You can run the benchmark from an elevated command prompt by typing winsat disk and hitting enter. You will find command prompt in accessories from all programs in the start menu. Just right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

Your WEI score is probably only getting 5.9 even though you added another SSD because the test is assessing one or more penalties. The penalties are probably because of latency issues. Sometimes not having the right SATA drivers can cause latency problems.

This is a very interesting article...if this is true, then is there a way I can run the test, read the script and find exactly where the problem is so I can fix it if it is a driver problem rather than a hardware problem?

For the user complaining about thier sli and crossfire scores being low, Wei only test one card. It even states that on the bottom of the results screen

The only thing that looks to be out dated is in device manager under disk drives>Volume(C: drive) The driver date is 6/21/2006 and the version is 6.1.7600.16385

I can't figure out how to update it. It says if updated when I try to update it, but surely that's not the most recent driver for it.
