USB Cyber Acoustic Headset (Won't Work)

Thread Starter
I have a USB Port using Cyber Acoustic Headset.
Simple thing being, I have searched for every possible setting for the microphone, and checked the built in mute button. It is ON. That is a FACT.

I have already reinstalled the drivers, and gotten no dice. The driver is just a USB driver and I am not sure if it is going to work or not.

I know it is POSSIBLE because it used to work. And the sound still works because there is a little attachment on the wire that if I hit it on something I get noise through the feedback and the Sound Level Bar goes up for the mic.

Once again, it is not muted anywhere on my computer I have made sure of that. There is a mute button ON the microphone but it is not pressed.

It used to work, and I don't know what has changed to make it not work.
The device is picked up, but it is also a microphone AND a headphone, but only goes in one port and they both worked at one time.

Any help?

I had a vaguely similar issue. Could you possibly try reconfiguring the output? (like.. set it to stereo rather than 5.1 or whatever. After a few tries I found a combination that out put actual sound.

It did not work, and output is certainly not the problem. Like I said when I tap that little piece attached on the wire I hear noise and the Sound Bar goes up, like the speaker bars go up when im playing music.
