They don't have innovative ideas any more, just milking their brand equity focus group design by committee approved by the board of directors calculated to appeal to target audience.

Blizzard had a good run, but nothing will ever kill WoW, and all their other franchises are on the decline. If I were Bobby Kotick I would rather order Blizzard to just keep milking WoW as long as they can, and develop WoW - 2.
Starcraft 2 lived up to the hype. I don't know what you are on but it was the fastest selling RTS of all time and has sold at the very least 5 million copies to date. How is that sucking lately? You are always negative dude. Maybe you should see a shrink.

I wonder how much of an improvement the graphics will be over WoW? (If at all)

Where to start...
SC2 is an incredible game and is not using the WC3 engine, that is an absurd thing to suggest.
Dumbing down Diablo? Have you played Diablo 3? Blizzard has released almost no gameplay information on Diablo 3.
If you were Bobby Kotick, you would have no way to order Blizzard to "just keep milking WoW as long as they can", because Kotick does NOT make decisions for Blizzard.

Surprised at the hate toward this post. Read it again guys, the man never said Blizzard games aren't good, just that they're not revolutionary anymore. On the one hand, pretty much no company has ever revolutionized something twice in the same field (in this case, RTS and MMO games), but on the other, in a field with so much potential, there is no denying Blizzard is sticking to their comfort zone. And who could blame them? They're raking in the dough.

While it is true that blizzard's recent games haven't been revolutionary I think it is due to the fact that their previous games were revolutionary. SC1 was the pinnacle of the RTS game type, Diablo was the pinnacle hack and slash/dungeon crawler and WoW was the pinnacle MMO and is still the reigning champion. Diablo 2 was an improvement but not a revolution, such is the case for SC2 and all the WoW expansions. It seems odd and unreasonable to ask a game company to do anything more than what they are already doing.

All blizzard games are epic because they are for PC. One a games jumps to consoles you know its only to make money of noobs and for short term. All games Bliz make are meant to last more then 3 years.

Yeah, I agree. You can't define a genre twice. My only personal gripe is that their newer games almost feel like carbon copies of their old ones... then again, in a market where newer games have "streamlined" interfaces, predictable storylines, bad textures, buggy releases, crappy dialogue... we probably shouldn't complain about Blizzard.

Blizzard is best at one thing.

take an idea poorly developed
make it awesome
??????
profit

They are the best at everything they do when they have it in mind. And if they aren't sure they can pwn in a sector they just don't do it and wait to be sure . that's why they aren't making FPS ... they know they are best at making epic RTS-MMO-dungeon crawler. and

If they made an FPS it would take 8 disks to install on your HD with 12 hours of CGI with a level of epicness that would look like they are in slow motion with Latin chorus epicness even if they aren't with deep voices making the earth tremble . then the gameplay would be so deep and varied with a talent tree for each weapons and style of play that it would suck any leftovers gamer in it and bankrupt CoD with a multiplayer so immersive and constant player in a constant world . and you could contact a GM to ban hackers or recovers lost items ( cause there would be PVE with your friend TOO!!!! )

I agree with this. The first 5-6 seconds of this sums up recent headlining titles perfectly.
