What are you talking about? Thubans on water can hardly go past 4.2GHz stable. 2500k can go above 5GHz on air. Almost all reach 4.8GHz.

dude just do some research man. i have mine at 4.3 ghz all the time since i first bought it man. and it can do 4.4 all the time but the northbridge gets warm from the huge increase of voltage it needs to go .1 ghz so i run it at 4.3 all the time. if you dont believe me its at 4.3 all the time then tell me what i gotta do and i will prove it. but even after i do you are going to say, you photo cropped that, you video edited that video, you hacked that server to make your verification look authentic. i will do what you want. no **** they can go 5ghz + on air, when the hell did i ever say that couldnt do that. but you wouldnt want to run on air at that clock speed 24/7 unless you have a 4 pound heatsink

Well,it seems you can't really make a point to some diehard Intel guys with the "Green" product,on this side of the forum. You would have gotten less biased answers in the general section. I see you never did say the 1090T was better, but did point out it's more ideal if you are on a budget and wish to purchase a better graphics card you saved with the money by going with a AMD instead. Depending on what he does,or what games and what resolution & settings are some deciding factors.
Why is it better? "Because it's Intel."
But what makes so much better? "Because it's Intel!"

Woe...just wow. How can you even compare the two, they're two COMPLETELY different architectures,at different die sizes.
Fanboyism at it's best.

OCN AMD OC results:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/58...-amd-4ghz-club.

Most stop at 4.2GHz~4.4GHz on water. 5GHz on extreme cooling like LN2 or Phase.

OCN Intel 5GHz+ Sandy Bridge results:

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...5ghz-club.html

Better performance, and much higher ceiling for overclocks. I think right now its a no brainer. 2500K is much better than 1090T.

I'm just waiting for Bulldozer to come so I can upgrade my rig.

Did you even bother to read my post?

I just showed you how the 2500K is the BETTER buy for a $15 difference which debunked your $150 difference claim.

And you just said you couldn't do 4.4 on air, and had to turn it back down to 4.3. Guess what, the 2500K can do 4.4 with the STOCK cooler. No H50 needed which your friend HAD to buy for $70!

I KNOW members here who NEED water cooling to do 4.4 with the 1090T, and I'm not talking about an H50 or H70.

But we're the mindless ignorant people huh?

And for your other assumptions about if AMD's BD outpeforms the 2600K that no one would talk about it, think again, most people aren't loyal to either brand, they go with whoever gives the best performance, period. Right now, AMD is not it. We've shown you overwhelming evidence, deal with it no matter how you want to spin it, because the price / performance argument has been tossed out the window with the 2500K being only $30 more than the 1090T.

If you did real research, I'd say that's $30 well spent:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/288?vs=146

Please call me an Intel fanboy again, my previous rig was AMD, and if BD is all it's hyped up to be I will build a BD rig as well.

lets see some screenies of you stressing that cpu? Now I'm not saying 1090t can't do anything higher than 4.0 some do. But I'd like for YOU to show proof that your 4.3 can run stable.

All Memory Linx or IBT 20 pass runs
8 hour blend test on Prime

Not saying you're lying, not putting any words in your mouth, I just want to see screenies of your 1090t.

thank you. seriously thank you. i never said it was ideal though to with amd for lower costs. I was just figuratively saying generally amd is a little bit cheaper, just a little, and sometimes you can afford to get something you need more. Like my buddy needs a better gpu over the second fastest cpu out right now. the 1090t will be more than fast for what he does. seriously though i thank you. you are only the 2nd person out of like 30 who didnt put words in my mouth or didnt make things up. if you were to go back and look at all my posts it looks like i am flaring because I am everyone is attacking me with ridiculous insults and the most dumb remarks because they did not read, and putting words in my mouth. I do not like to flare that is not my style and I wish the people would just read a little to see what I actually said and stop being Biased.
