Is the Model S ultimate a mindrape? - Page 2

A bit off topic, but you could always get the Das Ultimate with blank keycaps and use something like Sharpkeys to rearrange all the keys into the Italian layout.

School of hard knocks really, you'll learn to touch type pretty quick.

However, sometimes when gaming you'll just need to press "I" for inventory or something. Picking that out of a mass of blank keycaps is fairly hard, and takes a long time to get used to. Since your hands won't be on "home row", touch typing won't help.

Don't know what kind of feedback you're looking for exactly, but my Das S Ultimate came in yesterday and the blank keycaps look and perform awesomely. During the first few days you get it, you might instinctively look down at the keyboard every now and then to get your bearing, like I did, and it takes some adjusting to to see no printed letters to use as reference, but I believe it will be something that you can get over quickly. There's also something so pure about a keyboard with no markings that I love. Aside from the keycaps, the Das Keyboard itself is great, too.

Sure, but the real problem is:
- Get mindraped by no visible keys
- Get mindraped by a different layout

I don't actually like the Ducky

Those keys aren't really much of a problem for me, my G700 is personalized for every game I play

My short review, typed out at 3AM...

I am really enjoying this keyboard so far.
If you buy an Ultimate you better be a good touch typist, I've already screwed myself over with a couple of passwords. lol
