Of all the OSs Microsoft have released, I still think Win2K Pro is BY FAR the best. It is still the least limited/bloated and the most stable OS (I STILL GET UPDATES FOR IT! LOL) and also had the best compatibility. I still got my Win2000 system for work stuff, it's a PIII 600Mhz with 128MB RAM and a 8GB HDD and it lets me concentrate on doing work more than any current PCs, since it can't run anything besides a browser and some work programs, heheh. Win98 was unstable, ME was completely broken, WinXP was a joke from day 1, just a re-skinned Windows 2000 for noobs, that saw M$ start the new era of charging people extra for every feature possible...and Vista: Microsoft's number 1 failure of all time. Windows 7 ain't much better, just a patched Vista SP3. I wonder how limited their future operating systems will be. I can imagine it now: Windows 2025 UberN00b Edition: have to pay extra if you want to do anything more than use an office program and the internet browser; have to upgrade to 1337 Edition to configure your IP address, and to SuperUltimatum Edition for running any DirectX games.
Wish I still had my Win2k install disc though Edited by Am* - 3/15/11 at 7:37pm
