So yes I would highly recommend the RC 218 for adding more hdd to your rig.

I can stream 3 HD movies to 3 different pc's with no hic ups.

Please note not to install the cd drivers. Install the card then turn on the pc, wait for new hardware found and let it do its thing. If not then install card turn pc on, once its on go to windows updates and run check for updates, it will find optional updates one should be Marvell PCI Express Sata II. check it and install and re boot and presto it is working perfectly. If you want to boot of it or run raid you will need to use the floppy disk LOL.

Hope I helped you enough.
Thanks man appreciate it +rep for that but floppy seriously ??? i don't even own one of those things lol

This is Supermicro card is also a very good choice if you have an availabe 8X or 16x pciexpress slot. It handles 8 and is around ~$100 you just need to sets of cables and it has 8Ports, it doesn't have hardware raid but it good for software raid and WHS.

yeah I was looking at those supermicro but the sas turned me off i wanted each drive to have their own connectors preference is all Doh. but thinking it over it would have been cheaper to get the supermicro instead the rc 218 at 69.99 each yeah. Next time i guess.

Much appreciated for the +1 rep Thanks
