Mafia 2 75% off

Thread Starter
Not sure if this has been posted, but Mafia 2 is available on Steam for 75% off. $7.50 for the normal version, and $10.00 for the Digital Deluxe version. Original prices being $29.99 and $39.99. I've been wanting to get it for awhile, so if you too are interested in getting it, it's the right time.

Mafia 2 does not compare to the original. It's alright for 1 playthrough, then you just forget about it. It has WAY too much driving. So did the original but the original made up for it with great storytelling and it felt like you had a real purpose. In Mafia 2 you just drive across the city to go home. Lame or check up on Joe. Lame. The crime bosses lacked character as opposed to a punk like Morello that you could not wait to run into the ground. Mafia 1 had you racing down a runway trying to shoot at a plane making its getaway, unexpected mobsters showing up at the pizza place, chasing a guy in his underwear for snitching on the crew etc. The missions in Mafia 2 had little imagination. If you were interested in the series then its worth the purchase for the price. But you may be disappointed.

On a side note Kane and Lynch is very cheap on amazon now. I know is a short game but is it worth the purchase?

Wow, in Europe prices are 10.00€ for normal and 12.50€ for Deluxe Edition. Many thanks Valve, you're so fair to us -.-
Tempted to buy it, but it seems like prices for it is dropping fast. On the Xmas sales it went from retail price to 9.99€. I guess I'll wait until I can buy it for half this price

I picked it up.. with AA enabled how much AA does it use? My benchmark goes from 29fps average to 64fps average between it being on and off.

i paid $50 for Mafia II before release and was really happy. fine it's short and not really replayable, but it's awesome and it is very immersive and good, not to mention it runs well . it's a really good deal IMHO and well worth it for $7.50

as for JC2 i paid $7.50 during the Steam holiday sale and i found it to be possibly the best $7.50 i ever spent. it's a really fun game - a cross between GTA and Far Cry 2 with kookiness, a crazy B-plot action story (which is there for the laughs) and a MASSIVE and open ended world with so much to do.

Panau is like a playground with explosions . JC2 is my fave game from 2010 tbh.
