GTX 580's Cheap and 980X - Page 3

Well, I just ordered one. I will let you know how it goes.

Yeah I was gonna get a 580 and decided not worth it. Mainly because it would take time I don't want to spend tearing a 580 apart to put the stock cooler back on as my current loop couldn't support another 580.

And what kind of abuse a display unit gets? /sigh

I was very seriously considering it, though.

Note: This unit was a display unit that was run under water at stock settings to show how liquid cooling can reduce the temperatures greatly. Includes original stock Intel Extreme CPU heatsink and the CPU itself.

So if things are run at stock settings to show a reduction of temps i'd say its a safe bet its fine

Dammit, well that sucks. Meh I don't need one. Hey do you know where I could pick up thermal pads for the stock 580 cooling?
