ASUS P8P67 Pro Query

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I recently bought a P8P67 PRO and hooked it up with a WD 5002AALX which happens to be a 6gbps HDD.
I usually have a dual boot setup (Windows 7 + Win XP Pro).

I installed Windows 7 with no issues on this board with AHCI enabled in the BIOS. However, im trying to install Windows XP pro with AHCI enabled but so far have failed on every attempt.

I've tried, Slipstream method, Switching from IDE to ACHI method, all invain.

Could anyone please guide me how to install XP on P8P67 PRO WITH AHCI ENABLED IN BIOS

Thank you in advance

There's a number of tricks out there that will work.
Apparently a normal USB key will work in some cases, or it can be configured to work.
You can also make an ISO backup of the XP cd and use some utility to insert the AHCI drivers into it, then re-burn it

I'm sure some people could come up with some way more creative solutions than that.
