The reason why it takes longer is because you have more problems to solve with 8 gb than 4gb.
Kinda like it takes you longer to read a 400 page book than a 200 page book.
Also running ibt will give you 4 to 5c over what prime 95 temps will give you.
Its alot more hardcore on the cpu.
Also IBT can still miss errors, Plenty of people have run 30 to 40 tests in ibt and still failed a couple hours into prime 95 and occt.

use prime95. anything else is just less.

It failed during the 640K tests right? this is a RAM intensive test.

I'm assuming it passed the previous more cpu intensive tests 10K's etc so i doubt it's core voltage.

Most likely a RAM or Northbridge issue try stabling with one less NB multi (bring down your NB frequency a bit)

Then it will be clear if it's a memory issue, you can always bump up the NB later once you've eliminated other sources of instability.

Test for at least 13 hours prime95 blends or 24 for satisfaction of stability.

Good luck with the OC!

Is there a 6-core version of occt? or is the 3.0xx version good enough..

Thanks for the tips! I was also going to do an overnight memtest run, on each of the sticks individually, to rule them out.
