Laptop fan repair

Hey guys i got a bit of a problem, a friend of mines fan died in his laptop.
i went to our good ole local pc repair to see if he had any spare fans or how much it would cost to have him order one (friend of mine so i get discount).
anyway he didnt have any new one's HOWEVER he gave me a used fan that fits my friends laptop. but it has a minor problem, the power connector that connects to the mobo is gone and so i got three wires .
i cut apart an old cell phone charger and made a small hole in the side of the laptop case to run wires out. and this has kept my friend satisfied for a few months but he is thinking about either buying a new laptop with his gov return
unless i can make his laptop re mobile I have looked for a new fan for him but the laptop is pretty old and so far ive had no luck. if i could find a way to keep the wires connected to his mobo that would be great but the connectors are sooo small i dont have a sauder small enough and i tried the smallest heatshrink i had anyone got some creative ideas?

I know this is a stupid question but i hate for my friend to buy a new laptop over a probly 15$ fan when he has a pretty up to date one.

any ideas or good parts website suggestions would be cool, thanks guys

Why not hit up eBay looking for laptop parts? I know people part out laptops, just look for a fan.

lol tbh i was just doing that i guess i could find a 99c broken fan XD i just need that friggin connector

i still hate to order a part though when i have a semi working one
for some reason it just bugs me but i suppose that would be better than me spending 5 hours trying to figure out a fix =)
