Im trying to save up for some good hi-fi wood speakers, right now I do not want to spend more than $60. So if anyone has any good suggestions, that would be great.

You can't even get budget Polk bookshelves for that. Add a couple thousand and you'll be looking at mid-level hi-fi speakers.

Get a pair of Dayton B652's in the mean time, don't let the price fool you, they are an amazing speaker for the price. Even sweat shops in China get lucky.

$60 can't get you anything hi-fi at all.

couple thousands?? Im not setting up a home theater or anything fancy, just for my desktop so i can listen to high quality music. I just got a xonar dx sound card and need speakers to go with it. Im not really interested in any 2.1 systems, but some hi-fi speakers would be perfect. I was thinking saving around $30 more and get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-011-_-Product

Would you think these would sound better then what you recommended?

I'd say yould be happy with those, though the "Hi-Fi" they lable them with is just the regular lies and misleading info.. I'd say unless you wanna spend 750-1250 per speaker you wont get any where near hi-fi.
The ones you listed are a good starting point and will problably keep you content for some time.

Look at my post above you.

Spending the same amount of $ on speakers as the same amount you spent on your sound card is not going to give you anything hi-fi. Also, that Hercules speaker is a ripoff IMO.
