Someone at USPS keeps stealing my Gamefly games

I've rented a total of four games and I've had two games get stolen while in transit to be returned to Gamefly. (It's rather convenient it's to be returned because it makes me look like I'm the bad guy) Both times I've dropped the games off in the blue box at my local USPS and both times Gamefly never sees them again. The first time I figured it was just random bad luck and Gamefly was really cool about it never even mentioned charging me for it. However, I decided to cancel my account on the 1st and returned both the games I had and sure enough one game was never received again. This time I get an email saying "Send the game now or we'll charge your card!" Once again I reported it but considering this is the second time I'm afraid Gamefly might try to blame me for it. They better not attempt to charge me for it, I'll file a chargeback and report it as a fraudulent charge.

Why does Gamefly feel the need to advertise that there's a video game in the envelope to begin with? It's borderline retarded. These games should be shipped in brown packaging with a return name like "GF Inc."

Best thing you can do is try another USPS facility, or try to talk to the manager of your local branch.

I had a similar experience when Gamefly first came out. At least half of my games that I sent back got "lost". After the first two, Gamefly said they would charge me for any additional ones until I told them to cancel my account.

I remember doing some research and other people had the same experience. Seeing as how the games make it to the initial destination just fine but get lost on the way back, many suspect it is either USPS in Gamefly's home location or Gamefly themselves.

Interesting thought, it never even occurred to me it wasn't the local PO when I hear these stories.

You can change your shipping/return center in your GF account it maybe worth a shot for someone who gets game jacked. So far I'm at a 100% return rate for over 30 games to the Austin center. (They sent me the wrong game once, only issue I had)

Bring them into the PO and pay the buck or whatever for delivery confirmation.
Gamefly pays for the postage so the confirmation would be the only thing you'd have to pay for.
Inconvenient but better than paying for stolen games.
