6870 Crossfire in crysis - Page 2

Thread Starter
Ok I just installed 11.4 preview drivers and ran the benchmark 3 more times with 1920x1080 no aa very high. I got 36 fps with 1 card 32 bit, 41 fps with crossfire enabled 64 bit, and 46 fps with crossfire enabled 32 bit. An improvement but still not what im looking for.

Too high FPS causes rips in the picture.... just turn on V-Sync and be happy with 25FPS.... my GTX 480 easily pulls about 60-80FPS on ultra setting's in Crysis

yup..

but these cards are not good much past 1GHZ core. to instable. keep voltages under 1.3V and your good. mine lost stability though. they are at 975MHZ

no. that means your second GPU wont clock as high as ur first one

It's the weak link..

try 975MHZ with 1.25V.

no no Yoko..my cards workıng good 1000mhz gpu and 1125mhz mem at this moment..like your cards..its ok..and i try overclocking over 1000mhz gpu on single card..both of them workıng good on 1040mhz..

but

in crossfire setup not stabil when i go over 1000mhz gpu..its instabıl when i am open enable unoffıcal overclocking in ab cfg.file..
sometimes 1 card going def speed when i go over 1000mhz gpu n crossfire setup.
sometimes 1 card working def speed already not going to powersaving on idle..

its depending software..

so your saying that you have tested both cards by themselves, and they both clock over 1GHz stable, but in crossfire they do not?

That is an issure that I had with my gtx 460s. I belive the problem is down to heat. As im running matx, and the top card gets 15C hotter than it should while in SLI.

They both run just over 900 stable by themselves. Quite annoying.

Edit: **** I just seen your running waterblocks. Makes no sence dude. Reinstall drivers.
