Ummm that's like saying a Fiat 500 is as good as a Corvair or even a Postwar VW Beetle.

Oh it has good features but when you look in the bag and really look into the specs it's just not the same. And cheaper? I guess so if you want a 5 year warranty as compared to a 7.

Other than all that yeah they're the same.

And then of course we now have a new champ in town. AX 850 which has all the features of the HX850 and is fully Modular ta boot.

So what you're saying is... the HX850 is better because the warranty is longer?

A good seasonic 750w could power two of those things. I think someone was fine with a 650w. Don't spend more then you need.

Being that for the most part everyone agrees the AX1200 is overkill I'm looking into the AX850. I'm really only interested in a fully modular PSU's and both the XFX 850 BE as well as the HX 850 are not. Also when i compared all 3 the price range was less than $40. Thank you everyone for your help but unless I go the overkill rout that's what it looks like I'm sticking with.

I don't know very many people who use the same PSU in an enthusiast system for seven years. In fact a PSU from seven years ago would struggle with many modern systems, and I'm not talking about Fermi. A 3 year warranty is certainly nice, but for anything past that I've found that people prefer to just upgrade anyway.

So two year warranty difference and a few more connectors, on what's basically identical electrical performance and reliability, is worth $15-$40. Ok boss.
