Well i got my Asus GTX480 now,i bought from Scan.co.uk for £189 on one day sale so im more than happy at that bargain.
What i can say is that its all good
I have had 4 HD 5870' and this thing takes a dump on the 5870 in any of the games i have played so far.
I had a little fidle with it yesterday and got 850 core using stock voltage
850 stable through many crysis benchmarks(40 runs at least) through MSI Kombustor lots of times.
I set a custom fan profile as many people on here advise,so i got 50% fan for 50 degrees etc,my card has never hit 80 degrees.
Its idle at 41 degrees now in my rig,i have tried to get better clocks* but the temps are creeping up so its not worth it with stock cooling.
I want to know if Asus in the Uk will let us fit an aftermarket cooler on these things without voiding the warranty?
Anyway its amazing value for the money and im more than pleased with mine,it was either the GTX480 or the GTX560Ti which i hear is also good but not quite got the balls needed in crysis to keep things as smooth as a GTX 480 does.
EDIT: * higher clocks using higher voltage(1113)Edited by superj1977 - 3/13/11 at 6:39am
