I'm supposed to be doing my work, not browseing on here lol. He uses a program called Network Lookout Agent which monitor what everyone is doing on his screen and can send my computer the shutdown command.

But with the abort shutdown command flicking away in cmd, I don't think he can now

Or you could use a third party software like a firewall or a network monitor program that could block his access to your computer. That is, if you are free to install anything on your computer.

So then you just continue to browse? Wouldn't the next step be you getting fired? I'm kind of confused.

Or just do what you're supposed to at work and stay off OCN if they don't allow it.

Just sayin'.

It depends on which user account is sending the shutdown command. If its the administrator or similar, you can likely abort the process with shutdown -a. If its the SYSTEM account, it will likely override you or reissue the shutdown command instantly after you force the abort. Another option for you is to use ShutdownGuard which is a free application that prevents anything from shutting the PC down.

Stick his face to a 70 inch WHUXGA 7680×4800 monitor with Quadfire 6990, Crysis 2 max settings, 22.2 channel surround and he'll promote you to CEO.
