Not some people. This is all they do with $3000+ worth of computer hardware.

Other than the 6990's the test system is pretty standard. Its a solid review for imo

when will AMD fully unleash these beasts!!!
AMD has always CRAPPY launch drivers...it can't not even perfectly utilize these babies in crossfire...but whatever these 6990s r RED DEVILS

if AMD having having troubles to keep these 6970 cores cool.....only GOD can say what is happening in the GREEN camp to keep those GF110s cool...

blah, we need more 6970/6950 CF comparisons with accurate results x.x half of the benchmarks aren't accurate because bottlenecking at the CPU, 3.8GHZ isn't enough anymore, gotta start looking towards SB 5GH'z builds.

But I'm liking the numbers on this benchmark alot more, making it seem a bit more average to what I would expect to see from a 6990.

It feels like though unless the games are really starting to crunch the cards for FPS <60 or something you don't really see the CF shine, even though it seems the drivers aren't very matured at this point.

I'm curious if it is the same sort of aspect when it comes to the CF across the single card and if not meeting a certain FPS area the card just doesn't perform as good as it can. Same to be said about Actual CF of 6990.

Scaling is very impressive considering it's FOUR GPU cores...

I just want to see if pitted against Tri/Quad Fire of 6970/6950's for a direct comparison of driver maturity/ performance/$ since the 6990 costs substantially more then the 5970 did comparing the price of the 5870/6970.
