ok..so i decided to buy a Gf 9800GT that has ddr3 on it..and like my pc has a ddr2 mainboard? aand so ...could i use the ddr3 anyway if i have a ddr2?

Graphics card memory is seperate from the memory on your motherboard, so yes.
