You should definitely enter within that, you'd compete fairly well to say the least

Posted in there, Ill follow up with vantage scores when I get a chance.

I think I am in third, wonder if I should settle.
I used to tweak every damn setting in my bios to get higher benchmarks, I think I am done with that mentality

Cant wait to see a z or p chipset mITX

Posted Vantage scores:

Damn it, not on top... my CPU score still sucks
At one point I force quit all the 3d stuff I remembered a setting to tweak) and found that in force quit I had all these 32 bit tasks running, I hope Vantage is actually testing both cores.

Either way the more stuff I turned on the less performance I got out of the CPU.. If I could get the original score I would be much better off in the tests, the GPU tweaking was the only thing that had a big effect, oh well.

I had a moment tonight to try and stick the case's logo on.

I named the project "RDX" as an homage to my day job. RDX stands for Research Department Explosive. Also seeing as I have "blown up" several of the previous power supplies.. yeah.. anyway..

The chemical symbol is small and symmetrical and perfect to create in that hex grid I used for the grills, itll tie the design of the fan opening in with everything else:

I should have spent more time getting the thing to be symmetrical, but oh well.. I don't have a very accurate hobby saw on hand.

I started with some double sided tape, sticking it to some plastic and then laying out the design:

This turned out to not work at all, the plastic was inseparable from the double sided tape.
So instead I lay the design on my 'cutting board' (an old cdr) and lay the tape on top of the design. This worked way way way better, although I think I got a lot of finger oil on the tape.

Use a BRAND NEW xacto blade, it helps considerably.

Using tweezers (I do a lot of surface mount electronics so I have tons on hand) I positioned the bits of the symbol individually and pressed them in:

Hey presto!

The final result is a bit sloppy. I need a better way to cut the hex grid to make the chemical symbol, I may alter the way I represent those double bonds, it will allow me to have a larger easier to control cutout, but then the little bits will potentially fall off if the logo is bothered at all.

I need to like CNC it or get it cut out of vinyl or something, one of my oxygen molecules fell off the other day does that mean a high order explosion?

Amazing.

I was wondering how your 6950 would get air closed right against a metal chassis. The grill on the bottom is brilliant!!

If it weren't for the feet I wouldn't be able to cool it. I find a lot of dust collects around the top and bottom of the case, also the rear of the case (where all the exhaust goes) gets really stinking warm. It is no huge deal just observations. Crysis 2 has trouble running on the system :/. Once we get a P or Z mItx mobo Ill be set.
