temps seem to be high during idle... should i be worried?

Hello people,

It's my Asus N61JA's first birthday and the idle temp seems to hover from 55 to 60 dgrees centigrade with a room temp of 26 dgrees centigrade.
Yesterday I opened the laptop and cleaned out the heatsinks, there only seems to be one which is drawing heat both from GPU and CPU.
I'm using Everest Ultimate Edition to monitor temps.

Should I be worried?

Thank You

Laptops are a lot hotter than desktops, so for your particular laptop, it could be normal.

Yes 1 fan is capable of cooling GPU/CPU.
Keeps my laptops 720QM and 330M at 70C on load and idles at 40.

So I think you should reapply thermal paste if you are sure it's dust free.

Usually manufacturers are really picky about what you do.. I just did a quick google and you will lose your warranty if you change out the paste.
sorry.
