And the Adblock plus for Chrome is still no-where near as good as Firefox's version, I know, I use both.
The main yahoo story scroller is javascript. The News location selection is javascript.

I'm not seeing any ads because I have ad block plus on.

Yahoo mail will not work.

With Adblock Plus, Noscript and FasterFox (turbo, prefetching) on FF4, it's actually much faster than Chrome. I can scroll while the page is loading without it stuttering too.

I also hate browsing without blocking all ads/tracking/analytic sites/super cookies/ping tracing so I can't go without refcontrol/betterprivacy/befree/bettercache/stop autoplay/right to click/beef t.a.c.o/redirect remover/user agent switcher. Hiding ads after they are loaded doesn't provide any privacy.

Chromatabs plus/flashgot/imacros/scrapbook(better sorting than chrome's)/skipscreen/cache viewer/identFavIcon/linkification/imacros/nuke anything enhanced/speed dial/ubiquity/ are all the icing on the cake.
Not all greasemonkey scripts work properly in chrome. Some do though.
Firebug/httpfox/console/web developer/etc make it extremely easy to debug sites I'm working on as well.

I love being able to customize the UI which is extremely limited in chrome. I hate having all the extension buttons on the main address bar in chrome. I prefer them all put in the add-on bar which is auto-hidden when not hovered over at the bottom of my browser. The new tab preview in the RC (browser.ctrlTab.previews. = true) provides a nice view of the current tabs in the group and you can search them as well. For people who have more than 10 tabs, FF definitely handles managing them better. There's a lot more security and privacy options in FF about:config that I can control unlike chrome. The search engines box makes it easy to search a bunch of torrent sites/forums automatically without having to go to the domain > login > click search> set correct parameters > hit search. To some of the other posters saying only chrome address bar searches FF does exactly the same thing; it also lets you switch to existing tabs from it. Bookmark keywords is another things I can't live without which chrome doesn't have. One of the most used features besides panorama and tab previews is swiping 3 fingers down to get to the bottom of any page quickly. The 2-finger inertia scrolling works much better as well. The more multi-touch commands there are the more enjoyable it is to browse.

I will say that I use Chrome beta on my desktop for a game forum and Google Docs. I can't tell you how many times Google Docs bugs out and eats 100% cpu causing the tab to crash. Many times while trying to post on the forums it will crash the tabs constantly making it impossible to post. Chrome does handle memory better but it definitely uses more CPU especially when playing flash files since it launches 3 separate processes on top of the tab's process. FF4 starts up just as fast as Chrome does on my computers. Try compressing places in your profile if it's bloated.

What I really love and has saved me a ton of trouble in FF is being able to copy profiles between different operating systems OSX/Linux/Windows and having it still work perfectly.
Since Chrome bundles Flash into the browser, I couldn't use the 10.2 beta for quite a few months which offered tremendous performance optimizations in reducing CPU load for OSX. I'm glad chrome is here as it continues to put pressure on Mozilla to keep improving. I like tweaking and for now only Firefox serves that purpose.

There are malicious scripts all over the place, not just on shady websites. It is no big deal to us to click one time to allow scripts from OCN, or Yahoo, or whatever. It is a very big deal to me to keep scripts blocked from werewatchingyou2321.com and ja224ccawe.co. If that is too much of a bother for you and all you do is browse a hand-picked list of super safe sites, then good for you.

We're not disabling all Javascript. Everyone here is aware of that, I have no idea why you feel like you need to keep repeating yourself instead of reading our posts and realizing that. I have witnessed malicious scripts being run on my system, most would never take notice. If you don't find it a big deal, good for you. Let everyone else who wants to block these scripts be. You can also forgo all of the troll statements, a la "I didn't know anyone still used FF," etc.

I quite enjoy my FF4 with my addons (mostly downthemall and adblock) and I see no reason to switch to an entirely new browser that is "milliseconds" faster when my internet connection is a 384kbit/sec line. ^_________^

I must say though that the last time I used Chrome 10 the memory usage shocked me to say the least. I don't really care about how much memory my browser uses as I have plenty available memory all the time, but FF4 uses ~80MB on my machine with no addons, while chrome used ~110MB, also with no addons.

well...

I don't mean to be a dick about this...I absolutely love it when people use "but they came out first with it" as an argument...cause honestly, first doesn't translate into best...yes they should be recognized for their efforts...i do agree with that much.

But you're probably using Chrome, which has shoddy ad-blocking at best.
Adblock for Chrome does the exact same thing.

NotScripts for Chrome also gives you a list of ALL scripts running on a specific webpage, and you can choose which ones you want to allow or block. This list is easy to access by clicking the NotScripts icon beside the Bookmarks Icon in the URL bar.

And? I said I don't go on Yahoo, ever.

It's like a Firewall, you block what you don't use and enable what you do use, I use Theescapists scripts and video player so I let that stuff through but block everything else, I use OCN so it's enabled, I use google so it's enabled, but I don't use Hotmail, Yahoo, Xbox.com, etc so they're blocked.

It doesn't interfere at all and increases security substantially from say, a site getting hijacked and a script being put on it.

I love chrome. Compared to the speed of firefox on a linux system its not even close. With all the recent disapointments from mozilla I have put all my stock in chrome. I expect with this combination of support regular development speed and security it will become the number one browser in a couple years.
