SOLVED: Recommend a Fan Controller 10 Yate-Loons Push-Pull

Ok,

I need a good Fan controller, and also a recommendation for wire these puppys (It's not pretty right now)

120mm Yate Loon D12SH-12 Black (88 CFM, 40 dBA)

Why?

I Have 6 Push-Pull on my 360 RAD, and 4 Push Pull on my 240 Rad.

I'm not a novice when it comes to wiring, but I don't want to just try Parallel or series and not have the right controller.

I'm just looking for a starting point. I like the idea of a readout screen like the Scythe KS01-BK "KAZE SERVER" Advanced Fan Controller.

But if I need something more powerful with dials, I'll go with what will run my fans.

I got these fans for a good deal awhile back, but now it's time to make my case pretty enough to take pictures of.

Currently second loop is down due to not have a block on my 560 ti.

Solved! THX for the help. I'm going with this Lamptron 30W - 4 Channel Aluminum Rheobus w/ Multi Color Backlit LED - Version 2

Maybe someday I'll paint the case or powder coat it. But for now it's silver bay devices!

Here are the two best fan controllers that I am aware of. Both are robust at 30W per channel. This one offers PWM control over 3 dials plus manual control. This very new product from Lamptron offers more channels and some interesting lighting.

You mentioned wiring. I found this 4 wire harness helpful to tidy up and you can get it sleeved to color code.

The high speed Yate Loons are only .3 amp, which is 4 Watts on your 12VDC PC PSU. So that is not very much and you can piggy back these as you wish as long as you don't exceed the 30 W per channel.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

If you want automatic speed control, I would get two of these:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12...PL-RS-PCI.html

And a PWM splitter:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10..._AK-CB002.html

Hook the PWM splitter up to the motherboard, and 5 fans to each fan controller. Then put both of the controllers on PWM mode and enable bios fan control. Now the fans will be automatically controlled by the CPU temperature.

Finally, these controllers do not have to be mounted in the PCI bays, so this fan wiring complex can be hidden somewhere in your case.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'm still trying to find a couple with a nice display with temps, but nothing too crazy or flashy like the models by NZXT.

So, theoretically, this diagram will work for Parallel?

Yes. Never run the fans in series. Your PC's PSU is a constant voltage unit and not a constant current unit so if you put the fans in series they will run at 1/4 power and thus they won't push much air.

Sweet. I just ordered some sleeving from Frozen CPU. Hopefully 20 Gauge wire will do.
