Well, everything looks good minus the case and mobo. I don't like integrated graphics (you can get your own video card though).

The case is meh. I don't like. My *opinion* though.

Six core nothing special. Fast and everything, but won't give you that bump from 2 cores to 4.

I don't like the case or psu too much. Aside from that, I like the rest of it. What do you need your PC for? What is a lot of stress? What can't your Q6600 chew through?

Wouldn't 6 cores help with multi tasking?

My existing computer is not cutting it

Maxed the ram 8GB

I have 4 monitor setup at the moment and a lot of apps open at once.

I use it for business, so Excel mainly and office apps.
Excel has been the main problem. it takes awhile for it to process??

dont know system spec looks like ram is needed not 6 cores. the amd is slower core/core vs intel , But if u must. i would build it my own and save on cash and higher grade components.

Not sure if I must??
But bottom right of the excel spreadsheet says 4X cores 100% and it's waiting.
So I just thought 6X cores would be better.

If not what CPU do you suggest?

Go for the six core. Do get more ram as well. A bigger hard drive also helps.

Ok,

So if I were to attempt to build it myself.

I should go with 6X core. Right?

Get rid of the Board.
What do you guys recommend? I just noticed 8GB max.
Thats what I have now in my old setup.

Is the PSU good? Stick with that?
COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power RS550-PCARE3-US 550W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Hard drive:
I've got a VelociRaptor 300gb in my old setup.
I've read that SSD is good for OS and apps.
And get a good storage HD?

Ram:
Is that fine?
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Just bump it up to 8gb or more?

Thanks For the help!

4 monitors won't have much effect on your CPU. Are you trading? Are you willing to overclock? What is your budget? I recommend at least 8gb of RAM for you.

Answers to those questions determine where we go w/ the build...
