New rig, how can I check if too hot ?

I haven't got it yet (it's about a week away) and I haven't gone medieval on it in terms of cooling. It has one fan from the PSU, and the memory and graphics card are both passively cooled. It's not initially going to be overclocked in any way, but in a year or two I probably will clock that sucka.

What apps exist that can tell me how hot it is in the case, or how hot the CPU is? I want to keep an eye on it for the first couple of weeks, and in the height of summer to see if I need to take action on the cooling front. I assume any application that tells me the temperatures will also indicate what's a good range to be aiming for.

I want something for while Windows is running. I don't want to reboot each time I want to check the temps.

Thats it. It's simple and runs in the background.

I personally use AIDA64 but you have to pay for it and it does a ton of other things like show temps in the display on my keyboard.
