Dual ethernet motherboard give internet to another pc?

I'm trying to figure out if I use one of my ethernet ports to give my 2nd PC connection in my room, would they have the same IP? I'm just wondering since I have 2 PCs in my room and both would be playing BFBC2 at the same time. I know BFBC2 needs different ports so would it work?

Right now my 2nd PC is running off Wifi but it's signal is somewhat bad since the router is far away. Having to ethernet cable running into my room is not an option.

I guess its best to try it out and see what happens. It should be just plug and play right?

no, you will have to set up internet connection sharing and make sure you go into the advanced options and make sure all the options are checked.

sometimes (certain controllers) it can be stubborn and you have to play around with it before it will decide it wants to work.

the computer sharing should assign the other one an IP address via DHCP, so make sure that is enabled.

Thanks a lot. I will try to do this.

If I understand this right, you want to run 2 computers off one internet (cat5) cable? I might be misunderstanding but just use a 5-port switch. Problem solved

Just bridge the connections. It should allow that 2nd PC to receive internet from your PC.

2 cables while 1 PC acts like a router in a way.

Router/Modem>Cable>PC>Cable>PC
