alright! thank you again for help. Will try to get a look before buying it, at shop.

And yea, just noticed that my LG Flatron L1952TQ 19" have Dot Pitch / Pixel Pitch 0.294mm And i am pleased with this pixle rate! so it should not be that bad going onto 0.311 i guess?

No. Buy the VE276Q from the cheapest place. ASUS has their "Rapid Replacement Policy" in which they charge your credit card, send you a new monitor WITH a free shipping label, and once you send your broken monitor back, they refund the charges. I think you can also just ask for a shipping label and once they get the monitor they will send you one.

i went from a 24" 1920x1080 0.277mm dot pitch to this 27" 0.311mm dot pitch and it's just fine to me. i suspect you'll adapt very easily to the larger dot pitch.

that's great and all, regarding shipping methods for defective monitors. the problem is what ASUS constitutes as a 'defective' monitor:
Quote:
ASUS conforms to the acceptance spot level which lie between 3 to 5 defective bright/dark pixels. In order to deliver ultimate vision experience to ASUS customer, if your panel is less than or equal to the above number of spots, then, it is considered as an acceptable LCD monitor.

i'm in the process of returning my VE278Q to Amazon with 1 defective pixel. i'm being refunded the item price, and the $30 2-day shipping costs i paid. no questions asked.

its useless to suggest me where to buy it I am from country named Slovenia and that is in central Europe. The other irony is that only two shops got them and only one can get it in 5-10 days But anyway THX for suggestions and notes about everything!

P.S.: i must be blind because i cant se any pixeling on my flatron even at 20 cm distance. Probably because i have not owned any lower dot pitch LCD it will be a huge upgrate from this screen.. My brother got 23" LG 1080p and its awesome

Ah I didn't notice your current monitor. Basically everything will look the same sharpness wise as current, but you will have a much larger screen and more desktop space.

Hey, me again. Just got ve276q and i love it

Done some color calibrating too, and did a fullscreen black picture for bleed and dead pixels.. there are no dead pixles, but got at top and bottom thin bleed line along both edges. about 5mm thin. its not bad, but its noticable. (but only when black frame kicks in.. othetwise i can not see it even if i try to)

I dont see any pixelation whatsoever Its a monster LCD compared to my predecessor.

Porter_ whats your screen caliration options (brightness contrast,...)

I do notice some redish tint along bold text. (not all, in some cases.)

very nice! glad you're happy with it. i'll post my settings tonight when i get home from work, but keep in mind that each panel is different and "correct" looking settings can vary significantly from one to the other. also i'm not sure if you're doing this, but you can't demonstrate color tint with a screenshot. is that pic of the OCN tab a screenshot, or a picture of your screen taken with a camera?

i'd be interested in hearing which settings you (and other VE276Q owners) are using, as well. might be nice to try out different people's settings and see if they look better.

what i did is gone into paint, put in under resize mode/pixels a 1920x1080p then colored whole picture black. Then i opened it with windows default viewer and then press f11(play slideshow) and moments after that pressed space to freeze slideshow. Whole screen is black, and i can determine bleeding.

my galaxy S is $hIt when taking dark images, so i had to take it with nokia n8 with night mode on. I dont own any uber camera
where those arrows are, there is minor bleed. (that left and right dark red/brown marks.. are from night mode, and do not exist when looking with bare eye).

settings: (got nvidia) ATI may differ

and under monitor settings:

Brightness: 70
Contrast 76
color Temp. : Normal
Sharpness: 60
Trace Free 60
Aspect Control: Full
Splendid Demo Mode: OFF
Al Light: OFF

During night i put Brightness to 26
