Connecting to a russian VPN?

So, like many of you (no specifics), I bought a Homefront key from IntKeys.com. Thing is, you get the russian keys this way...sure, no problem. The options are, give your steam acc info to him, and let him enter the key for you, OR set up a russian VPN and open steam from there and enter it that way.

I have thousands of dollars and almost 250 games on my steam account, so needless to say, option one isn't an option I am comfortable with....so the other option, the VPN....my question is...how do I do this??

I literally have zero clue where to start and the process for doing so.

Thanks for the help

Just look for a russian VPN and do it the same way you would do any VPN connection. The only real issue you may run into is the language barrier.

Here in lies the problem; I don't know how to do any other VPN connection I've googled, but google is spitting out "BAD GATEWAY" errors at me...and I refuse to use bing...blargh.

Could you perhaps point me to a tutorial, or something that will give me a general idea?

you dont need a vpn...steam follows your internet explorer settings so a socks5 should suffice
