Windows Vista Hibernate Resets my CPU Overclock

Hello, folks. I have a short question (hopefully it has a short answer) about a problem I'm encountering. I currently have an Intel E4500 processor overclocked to 2.75 GHz on my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L motherboard. The overclock runs great, with no stability issues in prime95 or elsewhere.

Here's my problem: when I send my computer into hibernate mode, the computer resets by flickering power-on, power-off, 3-4 times, after which it finally boots into Windows with my overclock totally reset. In fact, instead of rebooting my system into my stock settings, it reboots me to 1.6 GHz per core. Hence, every time I accidentally hibernate my system, I have to reset my overclock in BIOS.

Contrast this with what happens when I duly "shut down" the computer: the system powers off, and when I power it back up and load Windows, the overclock of 2.75 GHz is still there.

Any tips on how to fix this problem? Thanks!

My guess is that Windows isn't properly going into hibernation, and some problem causes your system to see as a sign of instability and resets the BIOS to safe settings. Try turning off hibernation and use regular sleep mode.
