Don't forget, there won't be any DirectX for PlayStation and Nintendo. They have to use OpenGL or something like that.

Not just bluray, but that thing had everything in it. All kinds of media ports, backwards compatibility with ps2 games, etc. They tried to do too much with it and despite the high price Sony was still losing money on every console sold.

Though I don't think they have learned their lesson if the specs on the new NGP stick. Come on Sony, just give us something powerful with 2 analog sticks and we'll be happy!

Not sure how legit these are, but its about a year or 2(mabie even 3) newer hardware than whats in the Current Xbawks.

The PS4 is probably about the same story.

IMO, microsoft next console will be running windows 8.
It will be a small PC optimized for gaming.
It need keyboard + mouse support and should be 3D ready.
With a decent 3-4 core and a good GPU it should be able to do the job just like the 360 is right now.

On a system that has the capability to output at 1080P, most of the games produced for it are still 720P Max. Or Interlaced.

The PS3 Slim is out. Efficient and all. It's going to be a very long time before anything new is produced. And when it is, it's going to be revolutionary. It's going to blow our minds.

So yeah, as said before:
12gigs of ram.
GTX 580
8 Core cpu.

I'd guess it's something in the line of GTX460 and a i7 530 (imaginary low cache quad).
with 2GB RAM and similar things.

I'd agree with this statement, but I honestly think they are likely to go with 4gb of ram, and meat Crytek's half of Crytek's demands.

It really doesn't matter though honestly, PC's will always be 10 steps ahead, we can improve our rigs 10 fold within the same year, they upgrade once every 7 years at the least.

Although, if they take advantage of they new onboard SSD stuff, it could be tough. Doubt it though, that would raise the price substantially.

Like with the ps3 and the bluray drive, I think Sony will rock the boat again with something the others will not. My initial thought is something like dual boot windows, idk.
